Talk #5: The Transforming Power of the Gospel Shouts “Yes” to God, by Doug Busby
Doug Busby is the Senior Pastor at Evangelical Free Church of the Palouse, Washington, where he has ministered for 40 years. He holds a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (1973) where he also taught Greek. Doug is co-author of A Reader’s Hebrew-English Lexicon of the Old Testament published by Zondervan c. 1989. He is also working on a book entitled Foundations for Marriage, and has been teaching on the subject for almost 30 years. He has been married to Mary Lou 47 years. They have 4 daughters and 13 grandchildren.
Talk #2: Our Biology Cries Out “Yes” to God, by Dr. Sam Minnich
Dr. Scott A. Minnich (Sam) is a full professor at the University of Idaho. He received his Ph.D. in Microbiology from Iowa State University and did postdoctoral studies at Purdue and Princeton Universities in the area of microbial genetics and molecular biology. His research interests have focused on the molecular mechanisms of bacterial pathogenesis using Yersinia pestis (plague), Yersinia enterocolitica, and Escherichia coli O157:H7 as models. He served as a biological weapons subject matter expert in Iraq (2003-2004). He is an advocate for intelligent design and recently published a controversial paper challenging some aspects of the long-term evolution experiments using E. coli. Sam and his wife Muffy have been married for 43 years and have four children.
Talk #3: If God is the Only True God, Why so Many Religions? by Dave Wang
David Wang received his Ph.D. in Architecture from the University of Michigan and is a professor of architecture at Washington State University extension in Spokane, Washington. He has taken additional classes at Westminster Theological Seminary (Philadelphia). He and his wife Valerie have 3 sons and have been married for 37 years.
Talk #4: Even Recognition of Evil Says “Yes” to God, by Kim Kirkland
Kim Kirkland, long time resident in Moscow, Idaho, has been in the ministry since 1977. In addition, he has been the Senior Pastor of Bridge Bible Fellowship since 1985. Kim has a Bachelors Degree in Finance & Accounting as well as a Masters Degree in Business and Education, both from the University of Idaho. He is certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) & provides Biblical counseling through Bridge Bible Fellowship. Kim has been married to Eva for 39 years, has 2 children & 7 grandchildren.
